Three of five studs on the driver rear wheel failed simultaneously with about 900 miles on them. All three sheared/fatigue failed at the base of the lug nut. It felt like I threw a wheel weight, but much more intense. I pulled the studs off the rears at that time. Been waiting to do the fronts until the brakes needed changing...which was now.

I got these two tools in anticipation of replacing the airbag frame on the steering wheel
Amazon Prime..should deliver today

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Porsche breakfast, then PCA fun run with my daughter, then down to my hometown to visit Mom and the X1/9.

Mom’s OK, but not great. Fractured T6 due to osteoporosis last month. Doctor says she’ll get better, but just takes a while and you hope for no setbacks. She fractured it just getting out of bed.

I am happy with the X1/9’s progress. Can’t wait to see it when done.

The auto museum hosted The GreatCar Show today on the grounds of the National WWI Museum in downtown KC. Despite Covid-19 and unbearable humidity (along with a couple of rounds of sprinkles), it was a good show.

Looks like a good turn-out considering. How many red cars in that shot are yours?

Too bad about your Mpm and the osteo. It is amazing how that stuff can make simple movements result in a cracked/broken bone.

Will the paint guy be done in time for the oddities display?

The body shop guy said it would be. Fingers crossed.

So my extremely boring mystery continues. I replaced the frunk light bulb with a new one, and the light still does not work. I suspected this after the old bulb came out with the filament looking good, but bulbs are cheap.

So being kind of a completist, what's my next step? It doesn't seem to have its own fuse, so I'm pretty sure that's not the issue. The switch to turn it on is in the latching system, correct? Do these wear out?

The most likely issue is that the PO disabled the light because it was causing the battery to run down, but what's the hack? Snipping wires?
