They sent a crew down to help us set up the KC Auto Museum back in 2014 when we first opened. I got to meet Speedy Bill back in 2013, about a year before he died. He was a funny and interesting old guy.
Yeah that place is astonishing. The people there are great people which is a testament to Speedy. He was a unique and interesting character. I met him back in the late 80's during my racing career as about every Monday I was at Speedway buying parts to repair whatever I broke! They have some amazing stuff. Pic of some show cars with the Salt Flats display in the far background. If you come to see it wear comfy shoes.

Took the 996 out to Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka for the PCA events this weekend. Just a photo expedition for me. :) Took over 400 photos, and maybe 20 will be decent; a normal ratio.

Everyone knows what my 996 looks like, but this one caught my eye on the grid. From what I saw, this car was the one to beat in the club races.

That's how I felt after getting the starter out - the amount of time I spent on the blind bolts was ridiculous.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Prevented? How - I thought when an AOS went bad, it’s time was up.

I think he's referring to me putting my motor in without proactively changing it first. I was on a tight budget and was losing my storage space to work on the car. I had to button in up and get it on the road. 3K miles later...He's just a smart ass

Sorry bout that Bill. I'm not trying to add insult to injury. Just feeling' your pain when I see you agonizing over PITA job like the AOS replacement. I done it many times. People will say, "Don't forget XYZ when you're in there". I skip it thinking I have plenty of life left in the part only to find out it failed shortly thereafter. Keep you head up. At least we're not reading about how you killed the motor from hydrolock.
