It really is a nice day...sun and 68. When I put the 996 back in the garage I could feel the whole space heating up, so I plugged in the trusty portable fan with the garage door open for a while. The car does not overheat or run hot....but it sure can heat up an enclosed space after a decent run.

Even if it does rain Saturday, I'll likely drive it to the usual Saturday morning thing. It's just good to be OUT and ABOUT!!!
Good on you. Drive that thing! As summer come on you are going to need a bigger fan.

It was beautiful. I took the Turbro to work. After work, max$wag, my daughter and I hopped in the E30 and just drove around the neighborhood. Tons of people just outside. We saw several friends and stopped to chat.

Not generally a drive for the drive type of person, but took a couple days off from work and decided to get it of the house for a bit. Gave it a good 1.5 hour run with 20 minutes of highway and the rest back roads.

Also made it my 2yr old's ride in the 996. Overall I think he enjoyed the front seat ride, but a few miles into the back roads he popped :(

Unlike the 8yr old, however, he seemed to get the "look up and out" concept pretty quickly. I slowed down some and cracked the windows and he seemed fine the rest of the way home.

What exactly does "popped" in relation to a two year old actually mean?

No 996s were harmed in the making of this memory.

I spent a good part of the afternoon lying on the garage floor to wax the lower sections of the 996 - taking a break now and then to do an upper panel. Now I realize why detailers like the QuickJack. I used Chemical Guys Black Light, followed by a second coat with Chemical Guys "Butter Wet Wax"...for that glossy sheen.....that lasts maybe a week. :) Their stuff does produce good results...but they are short-lived compared to other brands.
