Oh am I supposed to say when I change my oil on here? Well I've gone about 10,000 miles since I've bought it and the book says that is how far to go so I can't wait to say I changed the oil.

Nope, factory recommends oil changes every 15,000 miles. So, you must wait. Report back in 5,000 miles.Dr_Strangelove (whew!) wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 10:28 pm Oh am I supposed to say when I change my oil on here? Given how frequently and how far I usually drive her, I guess yesterday was the last oil change she'll ever see. That seems like a bad plan.FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 7:49 amNope, factory recommends oil changes every 15,000 miles. So, you must wait. The 15,000 mile interval on oil is bad, but what really triggers me is the every other change on the oil filter! REALLY...REALLY!!??FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 7:49 amNope, factory recommends oil changes every 15,000 miles. So, you must wait. Porsche needs to keep the marketing types away from service interval inputs.Oil- and Air-Filter Element 30,000 miles or every 4 years

More like - what I didn't do with the 996. It snowed for about 5 minutes this morning, with supposedly another inch on the way. The city must have figured out that I own a 911, because the photo below represents the current pile of SALT in front of my driveway. This afternoon the city salt trucks were out on the main streets 2 x 2, salting away on the dry roads. Unreal.
