Took my 997 S to Aker's Porsche for 60K service - Oil/filters, Belts. Also had front pass side tie rod replaced and alternator replaced with OEM which was throwing a charging warning light every so often.

'**Highly recommend autohausAZ.com for parts - The Bosch Alternator was on special for $328 which was 35% less than I could find elsewhere for OEM.

$9 detail today ($2 wheel powerwash & brakedust cleaning, $2 vacuum, $5 basic brushless wash)

I'd like to get a partial respray and a KW v1 set to finish my restoration*, but the car is so much fun right now I may just extend those things to late 2018 or next year.

*restoration = better, badder, faster 996. Too new to be a restomod?
03 c2 / imsS / drop links, spacers & sways / fisters, sport headers & plenum / console delete & 997 shifter

Did you protect your snorkel from water ingress? You know it's well established that if water gets in your snorkel, your car will drown.

Nah. That's only an issue if you also park at an angle in a car park.

Took her thru the car wash today. Temps reached +7F and it's not going to snow for a few days so it was time to remove that grime that gets on you just getting into the car everyday.

Do you put a space heater under your car at night? I believe someone on Rennlist (dammit) mentioned doing this before putting the 996 to sleep. ha! You can't make this crap up!!!

Nope, daily driver. The garage usually gets above freezing if people don't leave the doors open too long. Space heater is a good idea though.
