Amen to that. The guy that owns the GT2RS is the nicest guy in the world - which is why I hate him even more. :) I love driving my '99, but I have trouble imagining what it's like to drive the other one, what with over double the HP and better suspension. Yowza.

Lots of cool stuff there, my old slightly scruffy car did not look too bad. (Top was down, hiding my awful looking leak repair). Three GT3’s there and a really nice 1976 930 turbo. Couple of other 996’s along with mine. 637E3FB4-FB36-4017-99F1-A031FA9B6AED.jpegB609B1E4-0050-42FB-A238-ABED0FC597D9.jpeg
The light blue car is a 991 GT3, it looked pretty amazing in person. I would have never thought to order a car that color but it works. Somehow missed a picture of the 930. Dealer had a few new 992’s there, they look huge next to a 996 or 997.

Your car looks good and fits in nicely. I can't believe there were two other 996's! Around here I've only seen one other 996 since 2014.

How did that real Mini Cooper sneak in there?
Thanks Billy! I was really surprised to see all the 996, and the 997 GT3. Oddly the only lawnmower car yesterday was the 930 turbo that I forgot to take a picture of. It was kind of a newer-car-crowd there - some serious $$$$ Cars were there. Probably my favorite of that group was a 2006 Ford GT40. The Mini Cooper owner was a hoot - he showed up in a retro-looking mechanics shirt. The car itself was really well done - sort of a tribute to a period tarmac rally car. Super clean and rust free - around here most British stuff dissolved after about five years.
Here is the Ford -

Today the hardtop went on. My son was up from Cincinnati so he had to earn his beer...
🍺
This time I remembered to clean the inside of the back window before installing the hardtop, and Gummi Pflege’ing the living sh*t out of all the rubber. Hopefully this keeps the squeaks at bay for a while.

I was about to point that out but you beat me to it. How much do you charge for autographs these days?

Actually, the Father-Daughter drives seems like a nice idea.

Congrats! December issue or November? I don't think I've gotten my December issue yet.

The one that came out about 2 weeks ago. I assume that's the November issue.
