Instead, I'm putting a couple more coats of Bead Maker on the old dog. Nice to spend a little time on it, even though the garage is a disaster. Some day I'll get it all sorted.
Snow? That's why they make Cayennes! See you at breakfast, Kevin!

Cayennes? Don't you have AWD on that ragged out piece of track garbage you call a turbo?

Woke up at 5 when the power went out due to the snow storm. No Porsche breakfast today ☹️ Gotta turn on the gas fireplace to keep from freezing 🥶

I couldn't find the keys to our blue Cayenne (in the console of my wife's car - don't know why I didn't think to look there  ), so I skipped this morning too.
10 inches of snow as of an hour ago and another 9 hours of snow predicted.

Kevin - I hope your power came back. At least the temp is right at 32 degrees instead of bitter cold.
Here's my backyard now:

The feeling of accomplishment along with the bonus of saving money is a worth while goal as DIYers. ;) :D
My motor mounts have been sitting on my shelf since summer. I have done some very, very simple jobs on the new Porsche so some of my hesitation is that I'm afraid to screw something up (like breaking the filler tube) so I keep putting it off. Just have to take the plunge.
Don't feel bad I've had replacement engine mounts and that water connection thingy that always breaks for two years! I haven't done them for the exact same reasons as you! I was sweating bullets just putting on the spin on filter adapter! Murphy's Law seems to always bite me in the behind. Like the time I changed the oil and was letting the car down off the jacks directly on the jack stand I left beneath the sill cover...oh and btw the two new sill covers and fasteners are still sitting in the garage too. I'm a bad bad boy...
Never gonna make you cry...

I really should do these jobs in the winter, when I am not so anxious to drive it. Then I wouldn't feel bad if it needed a part but had to sit.

Interesting. Basically, most any product will work - so much comes down to personal preference. This vid was pretty objective overall. Well done

Yeah, just thought it might peak your interest. I don't think the Carpro Reload was really fairly judged in this test though. I believe it's supposed to be paired with vehicles already coated with CQuartz. I wish he had Optiseal in there, but maybe he can't source it in the UK.

Put in ExtendMySeat rails on driver side. I’m 6’ 4”, 210 and needed some more knee room under the steering whee! [sic]. The thing works fine, buuuut...

Instructions are a farce. No 996/7 video help from the website. The hardware kit I got with the rails had a bunch of extra mystery items. I hope my seat doesn’t launch me into the windshield first hard stop. The seat needs to come out unless you have monkey arms and Popeye strength to maneuver the seat while aligning and bolting brackets. If you take the seat out, the install only takes 15 minutes...just put the logical bolts in logical places and all is good.

If you need to slide back all the way, the seat hinge cover jams up on the door side at the b-pillar bottom behind the scuff plate. I only needed to come back about 1.5 inches, so it all works for me. Easier to get in to and out of the car. Cheaper than a custom steering wheel or crazy Bill Nye engineering feat.

Had to put Rennline extinguisher bracket back on passenger side. I don’t know what types of brackets will play well with these rails. Also, the old plastic rail covers don’t fit very well (almost not at all) on new config.
