Added a 7lb 6oz ballast to the stable today. Through some weird properties I don't fully understand it will actually be heavier by the time it's installed for the first time.
Congratulations! Ballast? ha! :D

I replaced the expansion tank cap with a part number stamped at the top version. I noticed a little coolant goo around the tank neck and on the air pump.

Obviously, I am prepared to swap an engine now, with all this wrenching experience.

Coolant goo? Yea, I'm afraid you may need to let it go. When can I pick it up?

yesterday.. chopped up a new Borla muffler and redesigned the internals..destined for the 996. Should reduce drone and pick up some torque down low. Going to have some flanges cut and just fully fabricate a complete new exhaust so I can swap them at the dyno and see which makes the most power.

Today.. installed a new drivers headlight bucket and all the fiddling that goes with making sure it locks in and sits straight. Then I washed her and the Infiniti. Planning to rip around town in the 996 for some errands in a bit.

I installed the new V1 and the difference is dramatic. I had just a few alarms from automatic doors while driving around town. On the highway I had none. The old one had been alarming so frequently that I had mostly left it off for the last year.

Does it have built in Bluetooth to connect to the app or is that an option?

I have a bunch of work I've done so far that I want to make a "build" thread for. just finding the time to edit all the pics so I can attach them in the post here is time consuming. I'll get something together soon

The Bluetooth adapter is an add-on for $49. I have my display in the rear view mirror and I stream music to my radio via Bluetooth, so that wasn't something I was interested in.
