How much does it cost to get a Boxster repainted to a more normal color?

Hope not [ those $6K headlights]. That price would represent a good portion of the overall value of even a pristine 996.

1978 928, 77k miles, automatic. “Barn find”. Asking $6,500. Any takers?

I assume that the seller realizes that just a plain old, non-collector car doesn’t become valuable just because it sits around getting crapped on by birds and chewed on by mice for 14 years. Although I think that a sh*tload of time and effort plus about $25,000 could turn turn that into a solid $10,000 driver. At least the color’s right.

If it wasn't such a terrible color I'd be a buyer at that price.

Oh well, guess I'll keep looking.

WHY do these goobers always store the car outdoors with the damn windows DOWN??? If they are broken, at least COVER the thing. A Harbor Freight tarp is better than nothing....at least it keeps the resident wildlife comfortable. Or duct tape and a plastic bag like most of them do.

I would not take that car for free, much less pay anything for it. Ol' Joe-Bob probably thinks he has a Barrett-Jackson annuity car. Yeesh.

Therein lies the problem. Everyone thinks they have liquid gold sitting in their back yards, and "barns" because at the end of the day, some idiot with more money than brains will show up and buy it.

True. All it takes is one more re-run of Risky Business and one gullible guy to take the bait. :)

Yikes, talk about a money pit. My buddies that is sitting in my garage right now he bought for about the same price running and driving without issues and still has managed to eat a large sum of money....now that the waterpump ate into the block it makes a 996 seem cheap
