I love the: "This car is a piece of SH!T! It only has one key! It is absolutely necessary to have two keys! Guess I'll keep looking elsewhere..."

Yeah, that's a great deal at $14k. ejdoherty was active in the 996 forum, so I know he's knowledgeable. Hell, I'd almost buy that one for my son, but I just gave him our '06 Cayenne S.

Man, this car just seems cheap to me:

Asking $7k for a nice little red convertible Porsche. Seats look a little weathered, but otherwise a solid 986. I'm not an expert on the 986, but I have heard many people rave about what fantastic driving cars they are. And at $7k asking, the IMSB is a non-issue. What say you?

Is that an even rarer year than the 05?

And damn! In that picture I certainly understand why people hate the 996 headlights so much. Those things are hideous! :o

Well, since we don't have a Craigslist thread in the 997 forum . . .

That being said, from that angle, I really do think the round headlights look forced on that car. The front end just looks a little goofy. Maybe it is because modern design has moved toward 996-style "all in one" headlight enclosures, but I just think the VW beetle style headlights are starting to look gimmicky on modern Porsches. My 2 cents worth.

While I appreciate the classic iconic look of the old 911s; however, I thought the roundish headlight were a bit long in the tooth and that's why I really like the fresh look of the 996. I guess with the 991, the oval is the new round?
