A few red flags on this one.pcasanova wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 8:26 am In the ATL, several people here that can go check it out (including myself) if anyone interested. Unfortunately, not a lot if pics.

I wish, personally like this color combo (blue with tan interior).
At first, thought it could be a typo, but seeing that all 996 C4's in the area are listed at $22+K, have to agree that this is smelling more like a scam.b3freak wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 9:06 pmA few red flags on this one.pcasanova wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 8:26 am In the ATL, several people here that can go check it out (including myself) if anyone interested. 1. Owner is calling it a 2002 when it's obvious that it's a mk1.
2. It's probably NOT a C4 either. On the C4, Porsche used silver calipers. This has the standard black caliper, plus it doesn't have the Carrera 4 on the back.
3. No VIN listed to verify.
I would ask for the VIN number for CarFax.
For reference, here's basically the same car, but it's a true C4 mk1.

Just ran the VIN and as I predicted, it's a mk1 - 2001 Carrera Cabriolet, NOT a 2002 C4 as he has it listed.
Ah, I see the text exchange now. I find it very strange the owner did not know that his car is a Mk1 2001 and not a Mk2 2002. Radically two different front end designs. And, you're tell me he didn't realize it until he viewed the "add"? What about when he sent you the text and said it was a 2002 C4 AGAIN? Did he realize it then? hahaha Goodness, this is obviously a dealer or someone flipping the car on consignment or something. I can't imagine any true 996 owner not realizing the year and model of their car. Oh well.
