So this is super fun. Alternator needs to twist counter clockwise but the bushings are so tight it won't move. Suggestions?

Top bushing is what holds it DTM. It is a spring loaded bushing. You need to back the top bolt out about half inch and then pound it with hammer and piece of wood to make the bushing retract. I spent hours pounding on it to make it give.

To be fair to the guy, he wasn't the one drinking from a growler all day at the track...

Thanks. Yeah, I'm taking a break because it's hot as balls today and the how to I read said to give that bushing a "tap" not pound on it like $10 hooker and your wifes conference ended a day early. So back at it tomorrow maybe. Everything was going smoothly until then. You know, the parts you can't screw up.

Penetrating fluid (preferably not the kind you make yourself), soft mallet, or 8" pry bar. Mine wouldn't budge til I use a small prybar with a rag wrapped around it, and used that to rotate the alternator. Wouldn't budge till I got the right angle of the dangle. You want to shear the crud holding the alternator to the bushing, anything else and you will be trying to bend it. (And loose)

Also, don't forget to break the plastic coolant connector next to it.

Any update? My replacement filler hose just arrived today, along with new spark plugs and coil packs. Oh joy.

Too damn hot and I'm at the track Friday so prepping for that. Next week hopefully.
