I knew things were bad due to volcano, but this struggle showcases the life of Porsche owner in the whole new way. Forced to work on his car mere feet from molten lava, Bill used the fiery glow of the flow to see the values on his torque trench and snapped the photo of his situation with his Razr flip phone. At that point Bill didn't know that this photo will land him on the covers of NG, Time, and Popular Mechanics.

Oooohhh!!!

If you decide you give up on this project, go park it in the path of the lava flow and video it's demise. That would be awesome

Got one in my office. It's a great talking piece. Crazy to think the Sony BVP - Betacam cameras cost north of $60,000 brand new back in the day.

Instead we ended up with VHS and compression has been killing video quality ever since

Edit: This is what happens when not enough real content is supplied. We start talking about volcanoes, Polaroid, and Betamax!

Sony dusted their sandals off from consumer households and turned their attention to the pro/broadcast/film markets which gave us many versions of the Beta format - Betacam, Betacam SP, Betacam SX, IMX, Digital Betacam, and... HD Beta or dubbed HDCAM.
