Durametric Wanted (rental?)

Anyone willing to rent me one for a few weeks to help diagnose "The Roller"?

PM your email and we can get you mine. It's a Pro so there is no worry about the VIN limit. If you cover shipping both ways I'm good and no rush as I rarely need it (so of course I will as soon as I drop it off  )

That’s one heck of a generous offer.

Thanks bud, I decided to pull the trigger and bought one since I may need it for awhile.
Anyone got a 3.6 motor laying around? ;)

I've bought quite a few used parts from Mike and Quality Porsche Parts on eBay. Here's a motor out of a 02 with 81K miles, but notice the IMS. If I'm not mistaken, that's the newer Porsche IMS (larger single row) installed on 06 - 08 cars. $9,000 shipped free. You may get them to knock off a little more too. Make an offer.

The only problem is I'd still be taking a chance on the 02 failure modes (timing chain breaking or valve seat dropping) like the one I have...Listening to them rev that motor without know it had a proper warm up really scares me too!
