On Kauai. I too was born and raised on Oahu (Kaiser 81)

Wonder if this stuff is effective after the guns have been in for a while or if it needs to be used from install? Info on website does not specify.
My girlfriend has been running her tank low consistently this year due to moving offices (longer commute). I can try it out on her car and report any improvements!

Here's a re-post of the link for you guys: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/1 ... oller.html
Wow ... starting out with 3.6 Nickies already in place? That sounds like it’ll be a great project!

1981? You’re still a youngster (or, as we say in NY, a “ute”) :D

The mythical frailty of the 996 and the mythical power of certain oils or other mystery products and procedures are why I stopped posting over there for the most part. Groupthink is strong over there. Groupthink has blown up a space shuttle, I don’t need that for my 996.

Apparently general automotive technology doesn’t work for these cars, only voodoo, secret recipes, and the like.

Things will be picking up in the coming weeks. Hoping to drop the engine next weekend, but it could get delayed if life gets in the way. I bought the car at kind of a bad time to get working but that's how life goes sometimes, you've got to just strike while the iron's hot and work it all out later!

Everything including the car is moved into the workspace/warehouse. The lift has been installed, tools & toolbox are delivered, and my engine building partner is back from Japan, so we're just about ready to get to it!

I'll probably backlog some content for my build thread so I can post regular updates rather than post progress and have black holes for months-on-end.

I read you're waiting for a donor engine, correct Bill?
