First track day with the 996. Didn't push hard but had lots of fun. Bliss.

That seemed like an odd amalgam of a (very small) road track and Auto-X rolled into one. Kinda strange...
Also found it odd that you had no helmet on and had your shark dangling from the mirror. All the events I've looked into and 2 I've been to require helmets and have you remove anything not bolted in place.
Not critiquing, just seems odd from my (limited) experience.
Had our 01 since new and it will finally see a track at the end of the month (it did do one Auto-X class years ago now).

You are right on most accounts. The organizers tried to arrange some "surprise" for us by putting some cones on to an already tight inland track... still it was fun. Strangely helmet was not a requirement and the marshals from the auto Fed were fine with it.
