What's with the secondary bearing section? I can't imagine it would do any good if it's not fitted to the intermediate shaft.

Am I missing something here?

If I recall correctly (may not), the IMS narrows so I think that second bearing would fit into it.

There is some humor to be had from Chrome's translation, but I think they are serious that the second bearing is there in case the first fails so the engine is not destroyed. Guess they don't feel the first bearing shedding material into the oil will have any adverse effects on your engine...

Have you read through this thread?

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/5 ... guard.html

Small world, but I know this juankimalo personally that brought the Insaro topic to the forums.

Yea, Raby sent me a note regarding "Insaro" and the "rober" guy... hahaha Love that fact that his name is Rober. But juankimalo that brought the Insaro IMS bearing topic to RL is not associated with the Insaro company. Juankimalo - real name is Joaquin, is the owner/admin for Soloporsche.com.

The Insaro company was a sponsor on the SoloPorsche forum. Joaquin sent me an email saying he had to pull their sponsorship because of warranty complaints. Surprised?!

He said it was a mistake to back his company on RL.
