996's have a second fuel valve in rear?

Post by Brian Minson » Wed Jul 25, 2018 8:47 am

Hey guys, over the summer ran into a fellow 996 owner who said he heard the ole "blowing into a coke bottle sound" and that it was from his fuel valve. But not the one up front... but in the REAR?? Anyone have input on this?

Brian :)

Maybe referring to the fuel regeneration valve? That is on the engine near the throttle body.

It could if the plastic hose or plastic housing is broken. It normally makes a clicky clicky sound when you start up the car. Looks like this:

I have never been to a proctologist, but if anyone approached me with something like that, I would run...fast and far.

No I remember Homey the Clown well enough. Just never had cause to conflate the two until now.
