You could always offer them less on the buy back as it would solve their problem of going through a reclaimer deal; they may take it to get it off their books quicker. My question is what do you want to do and end up with? Buy back then spend $$ and waiting time to get it fixed then always have a repaired car or take the $$ and run to another car you could love. Do you love the car or could you love a different one as well. Regardless of all the "expert" opinions you will get it comes down to your comfort level and what YOU want. Good luck with your decision...glad it's not me. Assume physically you are now fine?
Was going back through the thread and saw this. Loved your commment about loving my car, but learning to love another. Looking forward to my 991.
I have found that the answers to these types of questions usually lie within...
Congrats on your insurance payout!
Fabspeed is first on my mod list should you change your mind...It's a shame I have to shop for bargain basement deals right now...
Lil Pump is in the market for the new whip Mike. Last of your Porsches was worth $100k before he wrecked it at the front. This one, being bigger and slightly wrecked at the rear should be worth around $150k. Him him up about a deal.
$30K for a tip 996 with 150K miles is definitely walk away money. It might not be 5 or 10 years from now if prices start to nose up, but for the foreseeable future...cha-ching.

Just got off phone with insurance. I'll get $28,906.84 for my car. Not bad for a 150k mile tiptronic.
Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end. Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end. Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall. Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Wow Cuda sorry to hear/see the news
Keep us posted and while your car is down, maybe you'll have time to make some Hot Sauce!
Shed no tears for Cuda - he's getting paid $33k for his 150k mile tippy. It was a beautiful car, but damn, he needs to head to the nearest casino.
