South Carolina. So many good ol boys running z71 pickups with straight pipes and no cats (and going NOWHERE fast as a result of the loss in backpressure) due to zero emission inspection rules. Not looking as it will change anytime soon.

That said, it does make it easy to build an exhaust for the 911.. and catless isn't that stinky. I've even got it set up to the point that despite no cats, I have no CEL either.

We've talked about this before. No way he would come here too cold and snowy. Not smoggy but cold and snow and no NE does not smog test...period. Of course NE doesn't have beaches nor the ocean so there are numerous downsides. I'm a big tree hugger and proud of it, but all that smog testing seems kind of scammy in my opinion. Similar to the condition inspections. I had the Z smogged when we lived in Chicago suburbs before retirement and the idiot almost burned it up. It's a 1993 so they actually dyno'd it. Put the big fan in front but wouldn't tilt down low enough so all the air went over the hood. He was a dumb-ass.
