What twisted reasons do you admire the Porsche 996?

Post by B3DAWG » Sat Dec 15, 2018 5:20 pm

Some of the twisted reasons I admire the 996...

1. Because it's the red head step child of the 911 family? Different is good. Watch Steve Martin in the movie - The Jerk.
2. We have more modes of failure than any other Porsche. That's gotta be worth something. Maybe we should have our own awards ceremony. If MTV and Nickelodeon can pull it off, maybe we have a chance?
3. Fried egg headlights used to be a badge of shame, but now it's become unique and cool like acid wash jeans, parachute pants, and Members Only jackets. Even Porsche officially acknowledges them as such. Wear'm, flaunt'm my friends!
4. There's always something to repair or work on. It must be boring living the 991 vida loca.
5. We were born with a major heart defect. Thankfully, Doctor Raby and the Flat 6 hospital provides transplants and has given us a new lease on M96 life.
6. The 996 still gives the driver reason to not care about big stereo systems and cup holders.
7. We have Pinky Lai as OUR designer and no, he's not a Pokémon character or a Stormy Daniels supporting actor.
8. "Escape Games" was an idea originated by Porsche for the 996 and Boxster. Have a dead battery and you'll know what I mean.
9. Porsche needed to find a creative way to get people coming back to the dealership for service; therefore, they created MOST. The keyfob was another backup solution.
10. The 996 was the last 911 that Ferry Porsche witness to go into production. He graciously credited the car along with the original boxster for helping save the company. Put that in your pipe and smoke it you perfect 992 owners! lol

I love the fact that every time I visit the gas station, I double my car's net worth. Try that one, you stupid Tesla drivers!

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.
