Also, RANKED IN THE TOP 20 ALL TIME IN BORE SCORING! CONGRATS BILLY!!
Thank ya...Thank ya very much! I worked very hard to get it just where I wanted it to be. Lot of misuse and poor maintenance helped, but it was still just a lot of hard work and poor planning. I am proud to be in the top 20 for sure!!
Hope the team at LN Engineering records some footage. I believe Jake said he was going to request they record the process of boring out the old cylinders and seeing the process of putting the new Nikies in the case. I'll wait and see. I'm pretty sure he'll let me know something next week. I am schedule to film the remaining segments of the M9X rebuild series week after next. Gonna be fun!

Agree...when it's not part of you! It is interesting to me that even though complex in design it is really a simple engine to disassemble. Now assembly...not so much.

What amazes me is why someone denies obvious and says it's all hype (i.e. DreamCarrera on RL). They fail to realize that this is the first documented mode of failure with the M96 engines. You add the piston offset issue and forged pistons, and you have a recipe for disaster. All this has been clearly laid out by Jake Raby and he knew it would be a hard pill to swallow for some. No telling how many people paid for lifter replacements when the noise was coming from the cylinders.

Don't know if you saw my reply on RL. DC has been a big skeptic in the past. For me it was not personal. I just get upset when some people think anything a vendor/provider is a scam to make money. While that might sometimes being true...not always. If you don't have a background in engines you may not understand, but there are ways to get yourself educated before showing your backside in ignorance.

Me being far too cheap to ever do this myself is in no way going to prevent me from enjoying this thread vicariously.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.
