As first thought, if she fell in that pool behind her, she'd float, but the weight of those things may be worse than having cement shoes mafia style. haha Right to the bottom! :D

Dr_Strangelove (whew!) wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:46 pm Keep in mind, guys, that Hoovie is an Autotrader.com (Oversteer) employee to boot... The thing with Hoovie is his shtick, which has always been his shtick, is buying cars that are notoriously expensive to maintain for as little as possible with the expectation that everything will go wrong... for entertainment value. Whether you consider this entertainment or not is the magic of YouTube. But this is the same shtick he did for Jalopnik and now for Auto Trader ever since Auto Trader decided it was going to start playing the content creation game?? :?:

The Auto Trader connection explains why he only has 235k subs but each video hits his subscriber number or better. For Youtube this is definitely a phenomenon. So, with my somewhat limited knowledge of how YT monetization works, averaging 200,000 views per vid, he's getting a few thousand dollars per month, guaranteed. BUT THEN, there's Patreon :!:

I have a good friend that has a somewhat successful channel that averages 35,000 views per vid. Between his supporters and his ad revenue from YT he's making about $1,600/Mo. extra on top of his day job. Not bad for a hobby...

Oh, yeah, on topic, I like Hoovie because I don't take him seriously. Start taking dudes like this as anything more than entertainment and they will definitely make you mad. For that matter I (used to) love Jeremy Clarkson but I would never actually follow his advice.
235k subscribers is probably more money than his Autotrader gig. Stradman's under 30, lost his job at eBay & decided to just buy a Lambo & focus on his YouTube channel. 735k subs later, he travels the world & does rallies. It's probably more fun than what I do.

You're probably correct, SG. I just wanted to estimate conservatively since YouTube formulas are tricky to figure out. With an average of 200k views per video Hoovie is most likely the one having the last laugh.

Laughing hardest are the guys like Stradman, Rob Feretti, etc. who just literally hold a camera and talk and can't seem to do worse than 200k views if they try.

Does anybody want to go into a pool with me where we buy the cheapest Bugatti, get pulled over, eat In-N-Out, complain about expensive tires, wrap it 6 different colors.... PROFIT?

"MY BUGATTI GOT ME PREGNANT...AGAIN!"

"KICKED OUT OF BUGATTI MEET"

"Paying CASH to get into the BILLIONAIRE club!!!"

YOLO

Stradman's a good kid btw, he's in the local car club. There are several proactive youngins here that do videography or detailing, youtube, etc. to live the life.

That car, however, deserved far better.

The only video I want to see involving that piece of garbage is someone parking Apollo halfway up his ass.

Can I ban people for posting his videos? Is that too jackbooted?
I got a lot of resistance for similar sentiments on a different message board. Maybe this is a better place!

Hey guys,
Y’all see that Hoovie blew up his LS motor on the track? Talk about repeating history! Ugh, this guy is so failure prone that I think he really enjoys it.

He is a DORK! Bought a used LS2 to save $1000 and it blew up! DumbSh!t. Now he is sponsored by a video game and the content of his vid is 9:43 with three commercials. I'm out! If I want to watch commercials I'll watch TV.
