Hey Guys...Just joined...

Post by sgsims1 » Thu Jun 25, 2020 7:48 am

On my 3rd M96....2000 Boxster S > 1999 C2 Cab > 1999 C4 Factory Aero Kit

My current is a keeper; got a great deal because it's a tip and some fool had re-badged it as a GT3 "Tribute" (which I immediately corrected). 46k miles.

I have to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying the Tiptronic....and love my Boxster Red interior. Thriving Porsche community here in South Florida so it's going to see lots of future miles, even though we don't have a lot of good drives nearby.

Look forward to hanging out here as well.....

Tacos for the win!!! 8-)

We have an 01 C4 Aero

Pics of the car please. That sounds like a nice color combo you have there.

As far as the GT3 "tribute" it's more true than you may be aware actually. The C4 cars share the frame/tub with the GT3 rather than the C2. This makes our cars a bit stiffer than the RWD siblings.

So rather than changing a badge you could have simply replaced the motor, ECU, and suspension and had an actual GT3

Welcome here. Now join PCA and with your local chapter. Usually (not now but down the road) good drives arranged, tech sessions and cars with coffee. But, you may already know this.....

Been a member of PCA for several years. PCA crowd isn’t the most lively but thankfully we’re the home of Das Renn Treffen (DRT) and Zweck, and have a vibrant Porsche/car culture that I’m already immersed in. We’re all just trying to ease our way into a post Covid semblance of normality....
