hahahaha... yea, I'm gettin blamed anything that happens to the forums these days. But in reality my technical knowledge does not crossover into the programming/networking/hacker side of things. I had a very close friend that was a computer genius that worked for the university. The boy was a freaking computer genius nerd that could just about anything with networks and computers. Was the campus go-to-guy for writing PEARL code. The guy could hack into just about any computer and he even showed me one night. It was crazy. He hacked into some student's computer and started talking to them in real time. hahaha Freaked them out.

Perl was never named PEARL as Practical Extraction and Reporting Language is the full name.
PEARL is an older and entirely separate language that doesn't (never has?) see much usage.

RE: perl...
I realize that I have not succeeded in answering all of your questions…Indeed, I have not answered any of them completely.
The answers I have found only serve to raise a whole new set of questions, which only lead to more problems, some of which we weren’t even aware were problems.
To sum it all up…In some ways I feel we are as confused as ever, but I believe we are confused on a higher level and about more important things…
