Yea, unfortunately, Porsche really didn't solve a lot of the water cooled flat 6 problems until the 9A1 engine. But even Raby says it's still too early to know what problems will surface from the newer 9A1 engines. Tony Callas has recently posted several videos on the 996 Mezger turbo engine. You should check it out. Just when you think those engines are bullet proof, an expert like Callas presents another story.

That will be fine. 306hp, 295#ft torq, 23.2 boost, LSD, Brembos on front stopping 70-0 in 142 ft equaling the NSX, Record on Nurburgring for front wheel drive car at 7:43.80(faster than: 2016 Cayman-Golf GTI 2016-Audi TTRS 2017-Lotus Exige Cup 2017-Alfa Romeo Stelvio 2017-911CS 2004 w/W. Not that I know this thing has torque steer, but those are some numbers for a FWD car.

Yeah, I've had Hondas in the past so I understand torque steer. Fortunately, the Honda designers seem to have essentially eliminated torque steer.OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:27 amMaybe change your user name to "TorqueSteerLover" ?32wildbilly wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 10:54 am

That was one of the big complaints on the Ford ST. I've owned quite a few FWD cars including a hot hatch and torque steer is the biggest annoyance. When you punch it, you feel like you're trying to steer a speed boat or something. You add 300+hp and they could be like trying to herd cats.

I've driven the kids Type R while I didn't beat it I did get heavily into boost in lower gears and felt no torque-steer. So whatever they did it works. My guess is if it did torque-steer it wouldn't had run the Ring so fast and it was stock.b3freak wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 1:44 pm That was one of the big complaints on the Ford ST. Re: What device decides a cylinder is miss firing...
They had one coming this month that was Sonic Gray Pearl. YUK! I passed. The next one in Feb/Mar is Polished Metal Metallic which is a little darker than my Seal Gray Pcar with more metal flake. Deal! The car design is so edgy especially for a 68 yo that the darker color tends to calm that down a little. Besides it's a purdy color!!!Dr_Strangelove (whew!) wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 2:57 pm32wildbilly wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 8:59 am I plan on keeping the P-car as a second toy as I just committed to buying a 2019 Honda Type R for my main thrasher machine!
