I'm impressed it still had a bit of life after all us trouble makers got run off, even if they are trying to be seriousFRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 3:15 pmIt's so funny that it's shocking that it wasn't deleted.

Funny thread!
I ended up lowering the engine a few inches and replaced the sensor with an OEM unit. That's the good part. The bad part is the warning is still displaying, so unless I found out how to fix it, it will be looked at at the indy shop when I get the alignment done next week.

Re: Search is Over, Picked up a 911TT
Put it in the shop today to get an alignment, the tires mounted/balanced and the oil level sensor investigated. They called to let me know the rims are not turbo twists but factory C4S rims. They look great but they left the spacers on there to address the stance it has.
So I need some help finding some factory turbo twists. What is a fair price for these? Any idea where to search? RL classified, ebay, CL?

FB groups, CL and RL are all good spots to look for them. Last two sets I picked up were $800 with center caps.ipman wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 7:08 pm Put it in the shop today to get an alignment, the tires mounted/balanced and the oil level sensor investigated. Re: Search is Over, Picked up a 911TT
Thanks.
Looking at part numbers, it appears the changes every year, as a different part number is for each year. Is there a difference between them YoY? I also see hollow and non along with a winter rim. Which is the winter rim and does hollow or non matter? I’m guessing it does for weight if you’re tracking it.

I don't know if there is any significant change YoY. All Turbo wheels look the same to meipman wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 6:36 am Thanks.

If you aren't going to be seriously tracking the car, don't waste your money on the hollow spoke wheels. They are significantly lighter, but significantly more expensive.
I'd say just find a set that fit properly and you are happy with the look of and go with it. Don't stress over it
This doesn't make sense to me. The C4S has the same wide body as the Turbo and I thought used the same 10" and 11" rear wheel options. I wouldn't expect C4S rears to need spacers (unless it's a set of fronts on the rear?).ipman wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 7:08 pm Put it in the shop today to get an alignment, the tires mounted/balanced and the oil level sensor investigated. Re: Search is Over, Picked up a 911TT
Agreed, I don’t care about them, just learning so I appreciate the info. And they do look the same to me as well.
Yes I thought the same but when I get it back I’ll take a look at the part numbers and confirm. They’re working on the oul level sensor issue currently.

Re: Search is Over, Picked up a 911TT
Oh and since you just put new tires on it, don't rush out to get new wheels now as you'll need to replace all 4 tires again since it sounds like you'll need wider ones in the rear.
Take your time and shop around while you get your money's worth out of this set of tires
