Hmmm... Sounds like Marine code for "I like a challenge when hunting and he hides good"Renn Meister wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 6:44 am B3 has a nice skill set.. You’ll probably be seeing him around here more often!
Seriously though, unless my senior moments are starting WAY too early in life, I noticed in the list of impacted cars that the 987 was called out, but the 986 wasn't. Omission for space or is there something different about the 986's variant of the motor that helps with this issue?

We’ve never seen the first 986 engine with bore scoring. They do not use forged pistons, and do not have ferrostan coated skirts.gnat wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 8:11 amHmmm... Looks like Part 2 is finished up and ready for YouTube next week. Parts 3-7 will require more shooting and so we'll have to get that scheduled around Raby's super tight schedule. I'm awaiting for his team to alert me about production dates at the moment.

Great content and nicely done!

Did you do the camera work? In other words, Who shot JR?
Re: Bore Scoring! Who knows for whom the bell tolls...
I'd like to create a thread and crosspost the videos to the DIY forum as well...anyone against that? B3, that work for you?
Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Hilarious that Jake mentioned Smokey Yunick! Being an old time Nascar fan he is legendary not only for his knowledge but also for his "tricks" Like the 7/8th sized Chevy Chevelle(this was long before templates or laser measuring systems) and his extra length of fuel lines running through the frame to increase the overall fuel capacity. He was a true innovator and a creative competitor!
Jake's video is awesome info. So nice to hear someone who knows pull it all together for complete understanding.
Thanks Jake!
