Hi,
New member w 2004 4S.
I searched the listings but saw nothing on this topic. The headliner of my sunroof squeaks a lot and am wondering what others have seen and done it? Any experiences?
And if I push up on it with my hand, about 1/2 an inch, it stops
Thanks
Kirk

Re: sunroof squeak
What do you mean by the headliner squeaking? When you are opening/closing the roof? Just driving along with it in a static position?
Has it just always been, or has it recently developed?
Have you any idea about where exactly it is squeaking? If not, maybe get a passenger to hold a phone up while doing an audio recording and move it around methodically to try to help pinpoint it.
Squeaking implies something rubbing and that it goes away when you push up implies that something has fallen out of place.
Not having a sunroof I can only guess, but my first suspect would be some clip has broken or loosened over time.

Re: sunroof squeak
Does it squeak when the sunroof is open, closed, or both?
Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Goodness, this reminds me of a video that a Porsche tech produced on lubricating the sunroof mechanism. It was well made and showed in detail how to Lub the most critical points. If I find it, I'll post later.

Olive oil is great for squeaks!
