Bummed he never got a chance to wash everything down with brake cleaner. That just sucks.
Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.
Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Oh if he really does pull apart the motor I think there are still many opportunities for hilarity to come from this story.
My money is on him ignoring the advice of getting an ultrasonic cleaning and his rebuilt motor shits itself soon after reinstallation due to either oil starvation (blocked pathway) or loose debris still in the system working it's magic.

My odds are on he won't do anything to it other than dump it as a roller. Course I'm an idiot.gnat wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 7:36 am Oh if he really does pull apart the motor I think there are still many opportunities for hilarity to come from this story.

Too much to make sense, I'd really have to find one here. Finding another deal like I did in Hawaii is a dream...32wildbilly wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 8:21 amAnother one!!?? How much would it cost to ship from the states?

Is it safe to assume that the quantity of 996's are small in the islands much less 996 rollers?808Bill wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 7:08 amToo much to make sense, I'd really have to find one here. Finding another deal like I did in Hawaii is a dream...32wildbilly wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 8:21 am

I've only seen one roller in the 3 years that I've watched CL. But, several come and go then reappear telling be they are not of interest to many people...They sit on the market for a long time and can be had for under 20K. One has a new replacement motor and has been Porsche serviced for it's entire life. I'd buy it if I had the "spare" cash.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 7:21 amIs it safe to assume that the quantity of 996's are small in the islands much less 996 rollers?
