This thread specifically was a continuation of the "Good week in the 996 forum" nugget of Internet gold that got several of us in trouble with the IB overlords...so it still sees a fair amount of kvetching about RL-related nonsense.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Just got done wasting 10 minutes reading through a pissing contest over whether it is better to pin or weld the coolant fittings on a 996TT. And the original poster's car is a cabriolet with a tippy. His car could get away with just the factory glue he already has for the next 20 years or so. But, you get the "my dick is bigger" guys started, and, well, you know.

I thought that question was settled ages ago? Isn't welding the answer, but as that requires the engine to come out pinning is viewed as good enough for all but the serious track junkies?



Except for red ones because everyone knows there is no point to saving those.
