I'm gonna guess the ODO reads 10,000 by the time it goes back from all the "shuffling" that has to be done on a daily basis...FRUNKenstein wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:48 pm Looky what got delivered to the museum today - brand new from factory - 5 miles on odometer . I went to lunch with the factory delivery guy - interesting guy from England who is a racer. Definitely had a Ford vs. Ferrari flavor to the whole experience.

Can't say I've missed that guy. I'm sure he'll provide entertainment for a new generation of Rennlisters.

He needs to be invited here. Along with Hurdi and JI.
I know Schnell you were enjoying KKs crazy posts just as I was. Can my car make it 50 miles? Should I tear down the motor after 300 miles? I made my own IMS bearing?

We don't know that for sure, but as his basic existence violates our one rule, he is not welcome and will be ejected as soon as he is identified. Nothing good would come from being here, so there is no point.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 10:21 amI think KK came here early on and was dispatched by Herr 5chn3ll post haste,Kalashnikov wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 10:15 am He needs to be invited here. Hurdi and JI would be welcome entertainment though.

I don't think KK violates the rule. He is just mechanically paranoid. The guy probably has the best wrenching skills out of any non Jr person here and was really doing serious work on his 996 and other vehicles.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
From what I understand, he did a DIY IMS repair with a bearing not specifically designed for the purpose then sold the car to an unsuspecting buyer. Caveat emptor and all that, but no PPI is going to inspect the bearing and it is suspicious that he sold the car soon after. It was certainly "poor sportsmanship" to borrow Groovezilla's phrasing to sell the car without disclosing the experimental (let's see how this generic bearing does!) repair.Kalashnikov wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 10:43 am I don't think KK violates the rule. The guy is a dick who - in my opinion - vigorously fucked over the guy who bought his bodge-bearing 996 when it subsequently asploded. I believe I perma-banned that username early on - but I'll confirm.
As far as Home Depot Hurdi and Johnny Irish:Kalashnikov wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 10:43 am I don't think KK violates the rule. He is just mechanically paranoid.
