First oil change with the new race ramps, which was...interesting. Unlike my previous metal ramps, there aren't any curbs to make sure you're still on it. So you're basically taking it on faith that you're not driving off.

Also, don't change your oil when it's windy. Gust of wind hit the back of the car just when I got the plug off. Some of the oil got in the catch basin though. Wife wasn't too happy.

I'd be the first one to drive off the back of those things. :D How did the oil change turn out? Any kidney stones or blood in your car's urine?

Actually, there's a bump stop to keep you going off the back, its off the side you have to worry about. My car was lowered by the PO, which makes it look great but I do wish I could change the oil without having to get the car in the air.

Clean bill of health for the oil! I have a magnetic plug and no nasty stickies and the filter looked good. I have to tighten the magnetic plug way past where I am comfortable to get it not to leak, so I am going to need a new pan soon. Unlike everything else about this car, they are kinda cheap.

I know! Last time I changed the oil, I tried to do it without getting the car in the air. The oil catch pan just fit under the car (PO lowered it). I took the plug off, dropped it, and it landed in the catch pan drain hole. So, oil gushing out with no where to go. By the time I got the drain hole clear, oil was everywhere.

Point of the story is, this is an improvement. Ha ha! I'm a clutz!

HAHAHA, I know the feeling! Had enough of those here and there, last one was on the Audi TT as there is only about a 1/4" clearance between the front cross member and the bottom of the filter, so once you get it off you have to almost pour it to get it out. Nice and hot dropped it and it went everywhere after banging off everything on the way into the 5 gal pail that was full of oil which also made one of those huge geysers of oil. Not amused lol.

Are they as easy as everyone says? I've got two Rein mounts waiting for better weather when I feel like doing non-essential stuff. I am scared to death of breaking the oil filler tube.
