Yesterday was change the trunk actuator and replace the broken cowl cover.
Welcome! How did the parts renewal go? Any difficulties?

Thank you.
Went well. The actuator had been weak and was intermittently failing to do its job, only about a 10 minute job. Insanely easy.
The cowl cover probably took 45 minutes, and makes a huge visual difference. I don't know why I hadn't done it before.

Well ole "tooty" finally reared its ugly head. Went over some bumps yesterday and heard a horn honking. I was like WTF what idiot is honking at me. Uh huh..me! Pulling back in the neighborhood I took a corner a little fast to see if I could make it do it again. Sure enough. So ordered the new airbag horn plate this morning and about to embark on the wonderful task of replacement. I know, I could just pull the horn fuse but..well I'm just not one to leave it like that. I'll update. Anybody want pics?

Heh. When our's went it picked the middle of an overly aggressive corner to make itself known. Scared the crap out of me and I almost wrecked the car thinking I had somehow not seen another car.

Just did this. The hardest part was getting the T27 screws out. The first issue is you have to do it backwards and the second is a screwdriver with a Torx bit is too long. My driver extension was too wide. Get yourself something like this, its the only way to do it: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Torx- ... lsrc=aw.ds

Other than that, piece of cake. The gold bolts that hold the plate on have a wide head but a thin neck. I read somewhere someone snapped one, so don't manhandle them.

Today: oil and brake pads. Also going to pull the studs front the front hubs and go back to lug bolts.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I think you’ll want to start off with the first one because you’ll need the leverage the handle provides to break it. After it’s loose the standard set comes in handy to turn it quickly.
