Lol.

I regret not getting all Penzoil Platinum Synthetic 5 quart buckets when they offered $22 shell gift card rebate. The oil appears to be one of the best available synthetics on the market. With rebate, total price was about $1.50 for me.

Don't tell anyone - but I use Peak. That's probably why my last water pump only lasted 6-7 years...

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Aww, man, I cannot believe you cheaped out. I've heard several guys say they can tell the difference between the authorized Porsche coolant and the non-Porsche stuff, especially coming out of a decreasing radius uphill corner when increasing throttle. There's just a little bit of hesitation caused by the cavitation of the waterpump impellers due to the lack of the Porsche additives. It may be subtle, but it's clearly noticeable.

It isn't even pink. Maybe I'll add some red food coloring so nobody can tell...

(I don't want to go down a rabbit hole right now - but I bet someone, somewhere has attempted to dye their off-brand coolant...)

Company I'm at is moving its entire operation from SoCal to just outside Franklin, TN. I'll be moving with company. Have a little over a year to move. Thinking of selling the 996. What a scary thought. :(

TN will let you drive the car there, too.

I was thinking the opposite- you can have a mansion with a 6 car garage for probably what you are paying for housing now. Plenty of good roads in TN. Time for you to start a wish list of all the cars you’re gonna buy . . .

I hope it will be something like that. I've been strongly considering buying a 10 acre lot somewhere between Franklin and Leiper's Fork and building a home. It will be kind of hard to swing as I'll need somewhere to live during the transition. We'll see though....lots of stuff on the wish list.

Drove through Nashville last Nov during rush hour and in rain, traffic was awful. That city has grown a lot. Considerably cheaper than SoCal though, so you are getting a raise.

Check the fine print carefully. Back in my younger years while working for AOL they opened a call center in FL and wanted us to move down there. Their catch was that would continue at your VA pay rate for the first year, then you'd get adjusted (down) to the local scale. A bunch of my peers fell for it and felt a lot of pain when they suddenly went from living like kings to no longer being able to afford the life they were accustom to.
