Yeah, optical illusion on the wide-angle shooting mode. It has about 6 inches on the driver's side and about a foot on the passenger's side clearance between the garage door opening and the post in the middle of the garage door. A 3rd lift would make it really tight for a Durango.

He did try to give her a P!g, but she apparently liked the Dodge better. Normally I'd asked how he could live with such a person, but having met Mrs Frunk I am still at a loss for how she puts up with him!32wildbilly wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 7:35 amRight. I took the long way to the PCA breakfast gathering this morning. Left pretty early and took the time to really enjoy the open road in the morning.
Huge turnout this morning at the weekly breakfast. [no pics of that - same old stuff. ] Perfect weather.
I even had time to top off with my favorite: Ethanol-free premium at the local Hy-Vee.
While filling I had two different women ask what color the car was. Explaining Vesuvio Gray Metallic was an interesting conversation. Huge turnout this morning at the weekly breakfast. [no pics of that - same old stuff. ] Perfect weather.

That sounds fantastic, but unfortunately not only will I be in NC, that's the week that I allow other family members to come to my house. If I was going to be in St. Louis I would definitely make the trip.Roger -
Will you be in St. Louis or NC in October? Reason I ask is that the Kansas City Region PCA has an event that is sponsored by 996outpost.com on October 10th. It is a combination driving and social event. Should be a lot of fun. Might be worth making the trip for.
Actually, by that point I hope to have all my Missouri work wrapped up (except moving my motorcycle) and be full-time island time. Today I even used the Porsche as a service truck. I had shutters to hang at one of the rentals.
I will be traveling back and forth. I hope this is well attended enough that another one comes to be. I'll make the schedule work.

No problem. We (the Kansas City Region PCA) sometimes do joint events with the St. Louis region. A couple of our guys have moved to St. Louis in the past few years and are active in the St. Louis region, so we have a good relationship with them. We try to schedule our events so that we do enough stuff in a weekend to make it worth the trip over. For example, every Saturday morning we do breakfast at 7:15 am, then there might be a Cars and Coffee event after that til 10 am, then a tech session at noon, a social event that evening, then an autocross on Sunday morning at the Ameristar Casino. Out of town visitors will stay at the Ameristar Casino's hotel on Friday & Saturday. Maybe catch a Royals game on Friday night (during non-pandemic times). Makes for a nice "car guy" weekend getaway.

There's an issue with the turn signal in our Audi so I've got to daily the 996 until next weekend. Gonna be a fun week!
