Went out to Malibu Canyon and the unofficial impromptu Cars and Coffee...but Malibu Canyon was closed half way there and the detour took forever. No sooner did I finally get there then two Sheriff SUVs came through announcing the the gathering was not allowed and to disperse. It felt like many already had...and then I saw the posted notices that "car meetings were no longer allowed." About then a guy drove up in a classic Bugatti...black and yellow...I'm guessing early 1930s. I was already in my car and moving so I left and cruised down the coast to Topanga and took that back to the valley. Nice drive...still going through rusty patches with my clutch and throttle on take off, but getting better as I fiddle with my seating position. That is a nice feature of the power seats. Most of my issue is getting those first early revs with the e-gas...my right foot is still not feeling it.

Decided to give my car a trip to the hand wash, this place does a very nice job. They have a special area, no machines at all, and very nice detailing inside and out. That inspired me to have my wife take the picture. Nothing very picturesque around the condo building so we went around the block to a nice shady street.

Anybody here ever take a US spec 996 to Europe, or have a source of info on it? Curious what modifications to the car would be needed for both a short term and long term stay. People from the UK don't seem to have any trouble. Still fantasizing about living there in the future (putting its politics aside). A friend of mine has an apartment in Cannes, he lives there half the year and in La Paz most of the other half. I could stay at his place in Cannes while he was gone.

JI Is that also your C63 casually chilling in the background? Or is that a neighbor's car?

Fun fact: it's not a great idea to feed an 11-year-old dog an entire steak, especially when he's accustomed to a "senior doggo" diet.

I totally misread that as "I grilled him as a steak for dinner"
