Flying Ducktail...
Yo my 996 brethren,
What y'all think about this product? Seems like one of the better ducktail products I've seen and they'll paint to match.

I kinda like that. I've never been fond of the big stand-off wings. I know many like them but, I'm old and like to see out my rear window!b3freak wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 1:36 pm Yo my 996 brethren,

Re: Flying Ducktail...
just yesterday I was in a funk, bemoaning the lack of choices for a decent ducktail
for our plebeian 996's
no reviews yet, seems reasonable
you going to take the plunge b3 ?, bet it adds 35 hp

Re: Flying Ducktail...
Naw, not right now... there are other things I wanna do first. But if I was going to purchase an aftermarket spoiler, this one would be at the top of the list. Unfortunately, the OEM Carrera spoiler for the 996 is $6,500 unpainted and the OEM GT3 type setup are pushing $4,000.sitedrifter wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 4:16 pm just yesterday I was in a funk, bemoaning the lack of choices for a decent ducktail

And so, for around $1,500, you can get a painted ducktail with an classic grille layout. Installs in place of the factory grille. Nice!

Re: Flying Ducktail...
I found you a much better deal. All aluminium spoiler. Much lighter and provides large increase in down force.

Re: Flying Ducktail...
Not the pure awesomeness of the classic taco wing, but the Carrera II wing.
