New Panorama arrived today. The "Editor's Note" sez cheap Porsches (including the 996, natch) are rising in value because driving is one thing we can do during the pandemic so there's a run on cheap cars. Not sure I buy it, especially the part where he says his previously $15K 996 is now worth $21K, but I haven't been shopping lately either.

I think he owns or owned a first gen Cayenne, also. Pano also did a story on a $2,500 purchase of a 924 that involved a cross country drive home, IIRC. King of cheap - he's my kind of guy.

Hmm, I think I know whose car that is. Too bad we never see him around here anymore.
You do and it is. He seems happy when I've checked in on him from time to time. Still has the replacement for that particular car and still doesn't drive it much. Still driving the Boxster M though.

He does. NOW.

The wife wouldn't let him have two so the first had an "accident"

It did give Kalash fodder for his video depiction though.

Ahh, Kalash . . . another one we've managed to alienate. I guess that proves we are equal-opportunity asshats.

I have noticed that we're able to offend damn near anyone given enough time.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.
