Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
I had a few misc. errands to do today, so why not the 996? Great day for February in these here parts. A couple of highway trips reminded me that I need new tires - badly - these BF Goodrich have become really noisy after 6 years.

I've gone a few rounds with El 5chn3ll over smogging, but it is still a mystery why the smog laws disallow aftermarket parts if the car still passes the prescribed tests?

California law makers are in fact as stupid as they seem, so don't try to understand it. Just obey.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 4:45 pm I've gone a few rounds with El 5chn3ll over smogging, but it is still a mystery why the smog laws disallow aftermarket parts if the car still passes the prescribed tests?

Just one of the many reasons that I despise CARB even though I live on the opposite coast...32wildbilly wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 4:45 pm I've gone a few rounds with El 5chn3ll over smogging, but it is still a mystery why the smog laws disallow aftermarket parts if the car still passes the prescribed tests?sweet victory wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 4:10 pm Failed a smog test. The aftermarket parts folks need to hire better lobbyists!

Nah...leaving the state is a lot easier. Especially with the state wanting only EV vehicles in the future.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 6:18 pm The aftermarket parts folks need to hire better lobbyists!
