Will this trick also work on the possum meat?

It works with chicken, pork, lamb, and varmint.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

So what you're suggesting is I add the baking soda and consume before the Possum is dead?

Coming from the South and all that, I understand this is THE BEST Possum dish ever! (Plus, as a canned delicacy, it can be easily included in the monthly loot haul.)

Well no breakfast for me as I just lost my appetite.

BTW I was born/raised in Texas and won't even eat armadillo which was consumed liberally during the Depression by Texans. So possums are not on my menu neither are Mastodons.

I have at least one East Texas recipe that calls for "jackalope" - meaning whatever critter you find by the side of the road.

If it doesn't pop when you stob it with your pocket knife, it's OK to eat.

Having a mom from the South GA swamps I have heard recipes for coon, gator, and rattlesnake.

I've never felt that I missed out by not having experienced any of those dishes though...
