There is a VP I have to work with regularly that looks exactly like Epstein. I have not pointed this out to him...

I finally added refrigerant into the Jeep last night. It's 90 degrees today, and that sucker is blowing ICE cold.

Spoiler: the dealer wants $380 to top the Grand Cherokee up with a pound of the stuff.
Yeah, same thing with our '15 Durango - it uses the 1234 stuff. It needed to be topped off last spring, so I did it myself by buying the parts store kit with the recharging hose. Fast forward to late August and the wife was complaining about it not blowing cold at stoplights. Took it to the local repair shop because I assumed it had a leak. Quoted $1,800 to fix the small leak. Most of that was the refrigerant cost.

Not with how much that stuff costs...about 100 bucks a pound.

Did you use one of those autozone cans or did you get the big tank? I think the Audi will need this next summer.

I couldn't buy it retail here - but some Amazon seller in North Carolina is happy to ship me 1/2 lb cans for about $50 a pop. Now that time is less critical, I'll start shopping on Ebay, etc.

I was surprised to notice that the Honeywell cans are reverse-threaded...I don't know if that's true of all brands of this new wonder-refrigerant.
