I need one of those. Badly.

Got a new chair today. Deviated stitching and diamond quilt! Like sitting in a new Bentley GT!

I don't see an opening for the submarine belt. If you string it over the front lip it would just rack your jewels. Perhaps in your situation a straitjacket would be more useful.

Looks like I will be in the Grayton Beach - Santa Rosa Beach area of FL. About a 5 hour drive from Atlanta. We looked at Bradenton and Sarasota (I liked Sarasota), but the economic incentives for our business in the Pan Handle were too good to turn away from. Just looking to see if there's any members nearby who are up to go shoot the shit or recommend things to do or see.gnat wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 9:55 pmWhat you wanna know? Got one foot out the door from CA. Anyone here in the South East?
Thinking I may ship the 996 to Jake during the move, and drive it back home when he's done.
Last I heard, Jake doesn't let you drive the car home. If you pick it up you have to pay GA tax on the work and he doesn't want highway miles during the break in.
Ah, I wasn't aware of that. I've only reached out about scheduling, didn't get to the pick up part.
Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
BIL met a girl online and moved to Bradenton after he got out of HS. A good portion of that area is highly impoverished and there are lots of problems, so you're probably better off not being there. I don't know much about the panhandle area other than it being cave diving central in the US.sweet victory wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 1:43 pmLooks like I will be in the Grayton Beach - Santa Rosa Beach area of FL. Bradenton does have some not so great neighborhoods, but still had nice areas along the coast. The weirdest thing about Bradenton is the orange juice plant...everything in that area smelled like cooked oranges; I assume from the pasteurization process. I didn't care too much for Tampa either. Sarasota was the only place in that area that was appealing, but they're not in an economic development zone, so we moved along in our search.
The pan handle is seeing huge growth. If you're familiar with the Irvine company in SoCal, NW FL has their own version called St. Joe. It's a pretty good place to have a house in today, should be a great place in 5 years or so. Our company works with the navy and airforce, so proximity to all the air force stations and ship builders is a huge plus. I think FL Gulf Coast beaches are some of the nicest in the world. I grew up in Hawaii, and far prefer the beaches in the Pan Handle. It is rightfully called the Red Neck Riviera. lol

I lived in Pensacola/Perdido Key for 2 years while I was in Aviation Officer Candidate School and Flight School. That was back in the ‘80’s, but we were there last year at spring break. I could definitely live there. Probably the nicest beaches in the world, even if the surrounding geography is pretty nondescript.sweet victory wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 4:12 pmgnat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 3:09 pm

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
I have a salesman who lives just outside Pensacola across the bay and I have been down there many times. It's nice. They do get hurricanes though, his house which is bayfront was destroyed in a hurricane 5-10 years ago and last year his sailboat was torn off it's moorings and grounded on one of the islets.

The water remediation folks are finally getting their hardware out of my house...I've been on the verge of going postal for a week now.
