I washed my bitch and then took her for a nice drive, with copious amounts of intermittent full throttle application, because certain noises this car can produce causes me to chub   God I freak'n LOVE these cars

Nah, That's not me....... I'd have been at least another 2-3 feet back from the car just to get the head in.........

Planning on doing the same thing. And, I'm going to get the bumper resprayed. One of the top body shops in my area will respray them for around $300. Now mind ya, this is NOT a cheap Maaco type shop... they spend time sanding and priming the surface before painting. I've done Maaco several times, but ya get what ya pay for. Maaco shops can offer decent paint job if you have one in your area with a good painter, but I still wouldn't use them for nice cars. Their paint process is pretty straight forward... chemical wash/buff "surface sealer" and respray with a single stage gloss paint. Problem is this type of paint technique save time and money, but is more prone to peeling paint around the edges and even flaking if the surface prep wasn't done right. I've seen both from personal experiences.

Any of you guys done Maaco? Thoughts?

Never have, but love their old(1960's era) commercials:

"Maaco Any car. Any color. In at 9 Out at 5! Only $29.95"
Never gonna make you cry...

I've considered taking my Miata's plastidipped and failing hood and trunk lid to them as opposed to redoing it myself. Part of me doesn't care how it looks so do it myself part of me wants it to look not ridiculously terrible so have them do it. Pretty sure if I spent what it would cost on decent rattle can supplies it would look as good or better than what they would do but I'm lazy as all heck.

Today I peeled off the ENORMOUS 996Outpost.com window decal that covered most of my rear window and replaced it with the new decals (one on each side, on the glass just aft of the B-pillar).

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.
