For a '13 diesel this is pretty pathetic. I need to drive more...

Whachu talkin' bout Willis!?
That's more miles than my 2005 C4S has. You need to slow your roll. You're wearing that thing out.

Dude. Diesels don't start breaking in until the 50-75k mark.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 5:01 pmWhachu talkin' bout Willis!?

You're probably not far off and that was when I was still going into an office semi regularly, so you're not wrong...

Ok, so the first downside is that it takes $100 to fill the gas tank. Until now I was using the gas that was supplied with the car. We shall see how long the $100 worth of gas lasts. The dash states estimated range is 400 miles. This is a far cry from 750 miles the diesel Touareg showed when filled with 26 gallons of diesel. Of course diesel is $6.09/gal around here and going higher so there's that too. Everyone needs #2 fuel oil to heat their mansion out here so I expect diesel will continue to creep up.
One tank of gas the 911 turbo lasts 200-210 miles, I think it holds about 1/2 as much as this wagon.
On another note I made some tasty turkey soup from the random turkey leftovers. It's simple really, carrots celery and onions cooked over low heat for 10-15 minutes, then cheat by using boxed broth and add the cut up turkey. Bring to a boil momentarily then add garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, a dash of soy sauce, and your choice of rice or noodles and reduce to low heat for 20 minutes.
