The aluminum parts look like they were made from sprint car wing kits! Which btw for some reason look very cool to me.

...and Happy Birthday you young whipper-snapper!

I like the new chairs (but I'll delete this later and deny saying it). I dig the steampunk/Pagani vibe.
Thanks, Dallas. And yes, it was time for new furniture.

Not a political statement just a personal opinion: Too many guns available to too many people who should not have them...
Thanks, Billy. Looks like it was basically two groups of dumbass 15 to 22 year olds popping off at each other. Two of the perps were injured and were charged Monday afternoon while still in the hospital. I think everybody agrees with your sentiment - it's figuring out the "how" that's the problem (and I certainly don't have the answer).

I look forward to meeting you, Doc and anyone else joining us at Outrun 2024 in person.
Thanks, 02. Yeah, I'm really jazzed that you and Doc are heading into town. Hopefully we can get at least one more (cough, cough Billy) and maybe several more to come in.

What did you do with that ugly multi-colored one?
Well, there were actually two of them . . .

Thanks, Billy. I was actually going for a vintage aviation vibe, but I suppose sprint car wing kits works, too.
And thanks for the birthday wishes. I got my first Navy retirement paycheck last week, and have paid my last $2,200 per month family health insurance premium as of this month.

Wow man you can pretty much literally get a brand new 992 with that freed up $2,200 per month. (Which was nuts, another topic. That is for 5 persons?)

Now that you mention it, the chairs would look appropriate next to a Spyker C8's interior which IMHO is one of the most eye-catching (in a good way) automobile interiors I've seen in the last 20 years. (For those who don't know, Spyker made WWI airplanes and went out of business just after the war. When they revived the name back in the mid 2000's they leveraged their aircraft heritage in many design details in their cars.)
Proud owner of a Flat6-powered 2002 996 Cab, 2016 GT4, 2019 Ford F-150 "Country Cadillac", and 2005 Ford Focus (not so hot hatch) daily driver. And a Wright ZTO 52" to keep several acres of grass-like substance neat and tidy!

Spyker was what I was trying to remember when I first saw the new chairs - reminded me of the sliding shifter.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I can see "vintage aviation" now that you mention it.

I bought my 911 from a consignment dealer in San Francisco and they had a Spyker C8 completely covered in plastic. I asked if I could "peek and not touch" and they obliged. While lifting the plastic I asked "The owner?" and the salesman said "No, actually, the buyer. He can't take it yet but whenever he comes in here to look at it he mumbles about the interior for 30 minutes, covers it up and goes home. We are charging him $80 a day to keep it here."

Funny little anecdote from the past...

Yeah, I know. But my wife has some crazy notion that we should spend it fixing the front porch steps that are about to fall off the house.

Thanks for cheering me up! I pay over $900/mo, and have used it zero times in the past 5 years or more. Hopefully you had some serious injuries and illnesses so that you could use some of yours .
