Got the opportunity to get up close and personal with both of those cars. You could eat your lunch off of the engine bay of that Thing. It was a work of art. I didn't watch the whole video so I don't know if he covers this but he told us that the Thing was his dad's, he bought it and owned it for 10 years before he realized the vin numbers matched the original paperwork his dad was still holding onto. Such a cool story.

I'm gonna do a write up of my experience for the forum sooner-or-later. Just going to take me a sec to organize some photos and gather my thoughts. Spoiler alert: it ruled.
That's great doc. How was the class? Do you find it worth the money? I can imagine when Jake starts unloading his knowledge, a serious case of cognitive dissonance sets in with many of the participants. :D

To me.. I would have paid the money just to hang out with Jake and Tony. They are such interesting dudes. The class was icing.

The Thing may not have received many awards, but it was serious competition in the "worst vehicle for use as a daily driver during winter in Pittsburgh" category. On the plus side, the stoplights back in those days were all timed...the old man knew precisely when to start down the hill to ensure we'd slide through the intersection at the bottom on a green light rather than a red.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

This week's Darwin Award winner comes from land of Maharajahs. This young genius thought that it would be a great idea to take a selfie with an injured bear. Bear disagreed. Bear aggressively proved his point. Genius will never invent the transwarp drive now. So sad.

It's not nice to mess with Mother Nature!

Let a sleeping dog lie!

Don't poke a bear with a stick nor take a selfie with it...

Words to live by
Never gonna make you cry...
