(I had no idea that F&F was a re-make, much less that we have our own connection to the original)
best-selling author, occasional Gitmo AirBNB guest, and internationally-renowned automotive fashion consultant John Ireland was in the original Fast and Furious? hahahaha! This is platinum.

His dad was ^^.

Based on the available information, his dad was a studly guy in Hollywood. I would assume this is what helped the JI we know get on the acting/movie scene.

Two things.

One, you won't show up...another Mexican excuse will pop up.

Two, I can see how Kia would be a very sensible choice for you. History of 996s from California during car meets creates a very valid precedent for all of you CA guys to use that Kia as your primary carpool vehicle.

Let's just assume that Cuda won't show up and my car will be skewered at least once.

Now that this is out of the way, let's plan this bish!

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

June is coming up. I'll reiterate that my ass is parked here so I can have cold beers ready for you guys any time of year... my only concern would be turnout if we try to rush it. How do you guys feel about late September or early October? The weather should be really nice around that time of year and we could do a cookout/BBQ or something.

Let me brain storm the whole thing this weekend and I will roll something out.

In the meantime:

Dr. Can you get in touch with IkoIko911 and see if we can get another C&C dedicated to Porsches. I liked that as the staging ground for the event and for everyone to get to know each other initially. Also, road suggestions are welcomed. Last year's drive through Valley of Fire was cool, I am down for something similar. Restaurant and lunch spot suggestions are welcomed too. The burger joint we stopped at last year was amazing. Also, can you please reach out to Barbara and see if she can get some PCA support for the event in LV. She seemed to enjoy last year's event, so it wouldn't hurt to get her looped in.

B3, can you make a front side of the flyer? There a ton of pics from last year's event, so please do your magic brother.

Schnell/Cuda, can you get your PCA region members informed about the event and do some internal marketing so we can drum up the interest that way?

Cuda, can you do some magic on the shirts again?

Others, suggestions for watering holes and activities are welcomed.

Hey Man, always happy to help, but I'm bury up to my neck with work at the moment. Maybe Dr. Strangelove can do it? If not, maybe I can slap something together.

I can help with graphic design & planning. Since I'm local I'll be able to help you with fun locations. Don't forget that I joined the event only a couple of weeks before it happened last year. I didn't know any of you jokers and found out about the rally through the PCA! On that note - I'll get in touch with IkoIko & the local PCA gang but it will probably be hard for people to commit to anything before I know the dates. I'll put out a feeler in the meantime, though. Maybe they can suggest a slow month.

I've also befriended a guy who puts on a monthly local Porsche show (Cars und Kaffee), It takes place on Sunday mornings, but it could be really fun to bookend the weekend with car shows. C&C Saturday and C&K Sunday.

Now that I actually sort-of kind-of know some of you guys I'm really looking forward to another get together.

Dr, can you check with Iko and your Porsche show buddy for August and September dates? Having a C&C type event to start each day would be ideal. Once we have the yes/no for those months then we can firm it all up and plan the driving and entertainment program.

For inevitable date questions. I think at this point June and July would be out due to being too close. I don't want to half ass or rush this, I want everyone to have enough time to plan out their trips and enjoy the experience.
