This could end up being a great deal for you.
He had it listed for $11,900, but just recently raised his price. Looks like it has a few "minor" problems.

Well, it's definitely a mk2 which would mean a 3.6L if the owner never swapped it out. I guess that would be a good question to ask if you're become seriously interested. I couldn't imagine what shipping to Hawaii would cost.808Bill wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 4:14 pmHmm, I wonder if that's a 3.4 or 3.6?b3freak wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 3:04 pm

Trust me Bill. If its 2002 or later, Its 3.6l from the factory. There’s a very slight chance one of the previous owners swapped it out for a 3.4l but probably not.

I do...this is all new to me.
Also I want to prevent the shipping company from trying to start the car as not to cause more damage. Is there a fuse I can have the PO pull? Or should I just have him pull the battery cable?
And I need to disable the fuel gauge if the tank is more than 1/2 per shippers requirements.
Disconnecting the battery would kill both birds.

Have the owner pull the starter relay. That will prevent the car from cranking. It is located behind the rear seats, under the carpet in the DME area.

Just left the battery dead, they gave the TT driver a hard time and things started looking like it wasn't going to get on the barge when all of a sudden the sun came out They waived him in (I had to do some quick email of documents) as he witnessed 3 others get turned away for having to much fuel. One poor lady had a plane to catch and they told her to go drive around and come back with a 1/4 tank or less.

The eagle has landed. Had it towed to my warehouse and then I had to leave. I will go down later today to get acquainted...Just told my wife about the new project too and it went over well!
