Put some side rails, tire carrier, and rear seat in the Jeep this weekend.

Cool thing is that Jeeps and 996s have roughly the same number of modes of failure. Had a Jeep back in the mid 80s and loved it. Was a '42 Willys with a 3.8 litre Buick V6, T90 3 speed trans and 5.38 gearing. What a stump puller! Great fun indeed as long as you didn't want to go faster than 55 mph. Great looking unit Cuda.

I didn't mean to buy this 996, I was taking Ambien at the time!

I used to do a lot of off road stuff in college/HS. The "cool thing" is you can go on pirate 4x4, fart, and find spare parts in your underwear. You can find Dana 60 axles everywhere and for not much money. With a 996..you're going to be hurting a little more when something breaks...

Good to have an excuse. I was stone cold sober and clean but did it anyway. I think I should seek professional help.

Speaking of unhinged, I present the most worn motor mounts known to man.
